The ISPAH Early Career Network (ECN) Committee is currently seeking to fill the Secretariat position. This is a key coordination and governance role within the ECN Committee, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of meetings and maintaining ECN documentation. The duties will vary depending on the time of year and in relation to the timing of the biennial congress (PAHO region in Mexico City, 2026).
Roles:
- Scheduling meetings, preparation of meeting agendas, and minutes.
- Prepare executive summaries of reports for dissemination to stakeholders.
- Record ISPAH ECN related activities for inclusion in the ISPAH Newsletter and social media channels
- Support the ECN Lead and Region Reps in administrative and coordination tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Strong organizational, intuition, and time management skills,
- Clear and effective communicator,
- Experience in (or enthusiasm for) committee-based governance roles,
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams/OneDrive and collaborative document tools,
- Interest in physical activity and health promotion (experience in the field desirable but not essential),
- Active ISPAH membership and ISPAH Early Career Network Member.
Applicants will be evaluated on a rolling basis, and the position may be filled early if a suitable candidate is identified.
Expected time commitment:
On average the role includes 2-4 hours/month, with the majority of the work occurring around the time of the monthly ECN committee meetings.
