Description


The Visual Content Creator will play a vital role in enhancing the visual communication of physical activity science/practice information through various channels such as newsletters, social media, etc. This position involves close collaboration with the ISPAH Communications Committee, contributing to the creation of visually appealing and informative content like infographics, videos and social media tiles. The commitment for this role is two years, with the possibility of negotiation or extension.

Roles:

  • Collaborate with the ISPAH Social Media team and ISPAH News Editor/s to ensure cohesive visual communication strategies.
  • Respond to requests from the ISPAH Communications Committee Chair for assistance on visual communication strategies.
  • Create graphic content within Canva, aligned with ISPAH’s brand guidelines, to accompany scheduled social media posts, newsletter items, etc.
  • Attend up to 50% of all monthly meetings of the ISPAH Communications Committee.
  • Engage in the continuous improvement of visual communication strategies and materials.

Requirements:

  • Membership in ISPAH is a prerequisite.
  • Experience with Canva or similar design software (desirable, but not essential).
  • Passion for visual science communication and advancing ISPAH’s mission.
  • Commitment to attending quarterly ISPAH Communications Committee meetings.
  • Ability to commit to the weekly time requirements of the role.
  • Willingness to contribute creative ideas and collaborate effectively within a team.

The successful candidate will commence immediately, requiring a proactive and dedicated approach. We welcome enthusiastic individuals dedicated to contributing to the success of the Communications Committee within ISPAH. If you have any examples of existing work on Canva (even presentation slides), we encourage you to share them in your application.
