Overview

Jade is an early career researcher interested in the implementation and evaluation of school-based interventions focused on children and young people's physical activity, health and well-being. Jade is currently working on (i) exploring a local impact of the Creating Active Schools in Bradford, and (ii) developing a feasible and acceptable physical literacy assessment tool for use in both education and community sport-based settings. Jade completed her PhD in 2020 within the Centre of Active Schools, School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University, focusing on acute bouts of physical activity such as The Daily Mile initiative on primary school children's immediate effect on cognition and academic performance. Jade joined the ISPAH board as Secretariat in 2020-2022, and has been the Director of IT Operations since October 2022.
