An exciting opportunity is now available for an ISPAH Sedentary Behaviour Council (SBC) member to take on the role of Secretary for the ISPAH SBC. After a change in leadership following the 2022 ISPAH Congress, the position can be taken on immediately. As Secretary, you will be assisting the Co-Chairs (Dr Audrey Bergouignan and Dr Paul Mackie) with ISPAH SBC related tasks. As an active Council within ISPAH, the SBC have many exciting projects and webinars lined up for the next few years. The Secretary role will run for an initial period of 2 years, typically running between ISPAH Congresses.
The key duties and responsibilities of the Secretary involve:
- Assisting the Co-chairs in planning meetings, workshops/webinars, and yearly strategies for the ISPAH SBC
- Assisting with the ISPAH SBC Newsletter that is sent to members twice a year
- Assisting with webinar/workshop advertisement and organization
- Leading communication with ISPAH SBC members
- Attending monthly meetings on SBC related tasks (webinars, members project etc.)
The successful candidate will:
- Be a member of the ISPAH SBC
- Have excellent organizational skills
- Have sufficient capacity to commit to the role, estimated to require 1 hour per fortnight
