JPAH LMIC ECR Congress Scholarship Applications due Next Week

Submissions close 9th February!

For the 2026 ISPAH Congress, The Journal of Physical Activity and Health (JPAH) is supporting two scholarships for low- and middle-income early career researchers. Apply for this fantastic opportunity to connect with global leaders in physical activity and health research.

Eligibility

  • An ISPAH member (we will verify your ISPAH membership on application)
  • Early career researcher, defined as 0-6 years post award of relevant degree (accounting for any career disruption) (PhD, postgraduate studies, higher degree research students, etc.)
  • Living and working in, and funded by an institution or organization in, a low- or middle-income country (as recognized by the World Bank).
  • Submitted an abstract as the presenting author (symposia, oral or poster) for the Congress. You will be asked to provide details of this in the application.

What information do I need to apply?

Prepare to upload screenshots of your ISPAH abstract confirmation and membership proof. You’ll be asked about your ISPAH and JPAH involvement, research interests, and how the scholarship would support your career. Please indicate any past conference funding and outline your plans to fund travel and accommodation (registration is covered by the scholarship). We also require details of a referee (e.g. supervisor, manager, mentor) who supports your application.

How will the scholarship funds be granted?

Two recipients will be awarded Congress registration and ticket to the Congress social activity.
