We’re excited to announce an upcoming free webinar that shines a spotlight on the important role of early career researchers (ECRs) in promoting physical activity among children and adolescents across Southeast Asia.

Physical activity is central to children’s and young people’s health and wellbeing, yet challenges such as urbanisation, screen time, and limited access to safe spaces for play make this an urgent issue across the region. To highlight innovative research and connect professionals across borders, the ISPAH Early Career Network is bringing together regional voices to share their work and explore opportunities for collaboration.

What You’ll Gain from This Webinar

The 75-minute session will feature:

  • Research Spotlight – Presentations by Southeast Asia–based early career researchers on their latest findings, with a focus on how their work addresses national and regional public health challenges.
  • Global Connection – Insights from the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance (AHKGA) on the SEARO region’s contributions to the Global Matrix 4.0 Report Cards, offering a snapshot of how countries are doing in promoting active lifestyles for children and youth.
  • Opportunities for Early Career Researchers – Learn about scholarships, publication pathways, and ISPAH membership benefits designed to support ECRs in advancing their careers.
  • Virtual Networking – Optional breakout rooms at the end of the session will give participants the chance to meet speakers, connect with ISPAH members, and explore ideas for collaboration.
